After breezing through the pool play with decisive wins over Mankato (12-2), Wayzata (15-1) and Woodbury (10-0), Hamel’s 12U team found themselves challenged on Sunday in the winner’s bracket. Against a tough Eagan team, Hamel had to battle from behind to secure a bid to the championship game with an 8-6 victory. Standing between Hamel and the championship trophy was a dominant team from Osseo-Maple Grove. Facing defeat in the bottom of the 6th inning, Hamel rallied to come back from a 4-run deficit to win in stunning fashion, 6-5. Congratulations to Hamel’s 12U Team!!!
