BILLY AND LUKE SHINE AGAINST OWLZ

During a weather-shortened week, Billy Tombers and Luke Issa made up for lost time on Thursday against the Owlz from Plymouth-New Hope. Billy led off with a single in the 2nd inning as the Rockies went on an offensive assault. Tombers also put in a solid showing at 1st base in the bottom of the 3rd inning, helping shut down the rallying Owlz.

Luke, an ever constant leader on the team, was cool as a cucumber in the field and at bat. With game time running out, he became the last batter of the game with bases loaded and an opportunity to slip in one more run. Issa wasted no time driving a pitch hard up the middle and notching a game-ending RBI single.
